Love is like a journey
It flows through various paths
Sometimes it feels like honey
It makes your heart throb fast.

You may have some euphoria
And even lost in thought
And then your eyes will flicker
The teasing sign of warmth.

True love it knows not envy
It keeps not hurting past
It fills your heart with merry
Forever it does last.

They say true love never dies
But this am yet to know
And true love they say don't lie
I'll know this when am old.

Tomorrow, it'd be second August again and Mary will go out to China town. She'd buy herself some beautiful Chinese lanterns and all sorts of decor she can remember. Each year, they become less because of her amnesia. Then she'd stop by her favourite Chinese restaurant and buy everyone sushi. Dad will help take out everything in the garage and she'll set up her decorations, it had become some kind of ritual, one that only both of them understood. She'd set up dinner table for two and she'd place two seats. When the clock strikes nine in the night and the star lights are in place, for some bizarre reason, there are always star lights in the sky on the second of August. Its as if even God understands that the night lights are important to her. She'd dress up in a beautiful dinner gown and come downstairs, and dad as always, will take her by the hand and walk her to the front door. The Phone Generation

I can't stop imagining how lucky this generation is. Yesterday night, Chigozirim came home with one small thing she called a phone.  She said I can call her with it whenever she is not at home.  She even said I can call Obioma, my son who lives at 'Obodo-Oyibo' far far China. I tried it and it worked. Obioma was happy to hear from me and we spoke at length. So this morning, I came outside and met Chigozirim with a rectangular shaped object, she had her attention concentrated on it, so much that she didn't notice when I walked in. The fresh breeze of the morning encouraged her concentration so much that I walked in totally unnoticed. I called out to her and she responded saying she was watching a movie. I was amazed. It was a cold rainy day, Celia decided to look out the window over at the backyard, she watched as the rain fell upon the grasses, as the huge mango  tree standing at the centre of the yard danced in array to the rhythm of the rain as it poured upon  it, the leaves swayed in amenity with the wind.
