SCARS Part 1

Image
Last night, we had been too tired and too excited with our wedding, we had gone straight to bed once it was bedtime; my arms around her possessively. Several times during the long night I had felt her eyes on me; they would flutter shut when I opened mine. At least that’s what I thought. I would watch her for a while, her breathing soft and slow like the gentle stirring of the sea; the wind of her breath caressing my face. Once or twice; okay, fine, more times than I can count, I had leaned in to kiss her small lips that seemed to pout as she slept.     Excuse you! She’s my wife now. “Good morning, Bill” I heard her voice, my eyes fluttered open in response. I had been awake already. I just hadn’t known what to do; I had decided to wait till she woke me up. “Good morning, Sweetness.” I said, Well, our eyes were fixed on each other’s. This was going to be my first time. I had a busy teenage and youth life, though spiced with a few girlfriends; it never really got to se

More

She said she wanted just to say "hi" and after we talked for hours and more it became a problem to say "bye" He said he just wanted to see my smiles, but we would then hold hands and walk miles. She wanted just to talk and talk we did until it wasn't enough she wanted more. She said she does not like hugs so we shook hands but as time passed it was not enough any more. we just had to get more so we hugged for seconds and it grew from minutes into some thing that looked like a cuddle, but the affection was still not enough, so every once in a while we would give each other pecks on the chick and it was nice and all but we wanted more, so we kissed once and again and again.   It was cloudy and windy one lovely evening. Even a blind man could tell that the rain was coming, the power was out and she and I as though we were opposites of a magnet came closer and closer, she wanted to cuddle, so we cuddled and cuddled until our clothes left our bodies

What's Past

Image
A step in front leaves it all behind When back, it stays with you With it, all prospects are blind They never get to come true A day with it is like a night with no stars Where, you don't get to see what's ahead Even while looking up and forward But only beholding the darkness around you It is a companion, one so troublesome Who doesn't wait out the storm But comes with the storm And you may never move away, even when it comes Yes,What's past is gone and for good But you've got a mind to rule Either you stay mourn its departure Then someday scream mea culpa!mea culpa!! Or look ahead, preparing for the future. Written by Daniel Etim Model: Nimi Ngiangia

INTERVIEW: "I got mature in mind at quite a young age"~Hillary Nwoziri

Image
The concept of luminary writing goes beyond just the impetus that drives the reader. Hillary Obinna Nwoziri, a profound luminary writer, and author of "The Voyager's Muse" opens up about himself in this exclusive interview with Miss Joy Ngofaa. Joy: Hi Hillary, tell us a little about yourself. Hillary: I'm from Imo State, the last of 5 children, and the last son too. Currently, I'm in the final lap of my second year in the University of Port Harcourt. I'm Studying Linguistics and Communication Studies. I love to write, sing, and sleep. I also love to travel and keep busy. Joy: That's interesting. So how did you begin your journey as a writer? Hillary: I've been writing since I was in primary school. I was one of the best essay and composition writers in my school. It continued till secondary school. At that time, I hadn't seen writing as a big deal (of course it is a big deal). I didn't see it as something I'll take on as

The mind

Image
Trapped in dramatic illusions Lost in the realm of notions Catapulted to a world of fancy indulgence The mind in its own is a globe Porous and wide in scope. The creepy events that betide within Hidden by walls unseen The  site of embellished desires Decorated by dribs of nefariousness That thrives in solitude. If one could see the mind of another Or the intents of a neighbor Rather than hoaxed expositions A shield for perpetrations. Who can discern The unscrupulous form of the mind But the proprietor. So I think not upon utterances But wonder I deliberately Upon the man that lies within The mind. Written by: Miss Joy Ngofaa Model: Miss Nimi Ngiangia

Memoir of a Writer ( The concluding part )

Image
Continues from the previous post. Click  Here God loves us all, equally. So, I don't compare people. I've held this notion Right from my high school days. I would rather say I respect people than compare them. To me, comparison brings a flare of preference. Inferiority and superiority come to play with this word. I respect people; big, small, black or white. But the degree to which I respect, depends on the individual. It gives a clarity that two individuals have equal opportunity  to earn my respect. The world of comparison gives a false benchmark that can be exceeded, if not in view. This too is a mirage. I also discovered that the difference between poverty and wealth, is a thin line. The difference between wealth and health is a thin line. The difference between what is not and what is, is a thin line. That thin line is faith. Faith is a virtue that should never be misplaced. It got a source; it starts and ends with God. Having faith opens y

FIRST KISS

Image
My first kiss I remembered like it was a minute ago.  It was terribly fierce,  It took all of my will First, I rejected  But his arms brought my body to the heat of his.  This was it, his eyes met mine and all I could see was unraveled mysteries  I took his minty breath in as my oxygen  And as his lips nearly touched mine, I closed my eyes slowly to hide my doubting fears.  My soul was all for it, but my body fought relentlessly.  His strong arms built like a machine ,relaxed every contraction within my body.  He was the king of kisses.  He just needed me in control,  But I was like an untamed animal Wanted out of the cage.  With his hands, he caressed my face First my lips, to my cheeks, then slowly  He moved down to my neck and gave me tiny little kisses. I mourned and all I could whisper was "stop" But like the king he was He knew his subject had succumbed.  He had no mercy now  He burned down my bridges,  Melted

Memoir of a Writer

Image
I've learnt alot lately, More than the strokes of my pen can relay Its like awakening into a new, fresh viand of truth. A fancy in which my fixation finds root. The world is a mirage. I discovered that the person who makes fun of others Just to feel good and special is as inferior as The person who let's those words get to him I've discovered that the world in general is starked With inferior people who can paint black white And make right look wrong. I see this everyday. I also see people who feel By following a crowd You earn fame and relevance An unscrupulous people Who trade tomorrow for today A taboo they do for a lark I'm frantic about this because it drills pain Through my heart's core That no analgesia can relieve I discovered that being morally sound Does not make you a person Neither does being immoral make you a better person. You see, the world is just a fuse of confused people Trying to gain worth by morality or im

Here is what I think about love

Image
Love is like a journey It flows through various paths Sometimes it feels like honey It makes your heart throb fast. You may have some euphoria And even lost in thought And then your eyes will flicker The teasing sign of warmth. True love it knows not envy It keeps not hurting past It fills your heart with merry Forever it does last. They say true love never dies But this am yet to know And true love they say don't lie I'll know this when am old.
