Healthy habits for your face to maintain an acne and blemish free skin
Hello guys,
In this post, I will show you the procedure I use for my acne free face. If you have terrible acne breakout like I once did, you can try out these simple methods. It worked for me, so I believe it will work for you also.
To treat pimples, you have to first identity the cause. Alot of factors could have contributed to your pimple breakout. So first identify the cause so that you can handle it to prevent it's reoccurrence.
The possible causes of acne are:
(1) Excessive oil on the skin
This could be as a result of;
• Eating too much fatty foods. To reduce oil on the skin try reducing the fatty content of your diet.
•Use a mild facial cleanser to reduce the oil on the skin (use once daily, 3-4 times a week) use more frequently if treating pimples.
•Apply steam to the face once or twice daily. This unclog pores and reduces oil.
(2) Clogged pores:
Pores clog when dead cells accumulate on the skin and interact with the oil. This may plug the pores and cause swelling (pimples) and redness.
To unclog pores:
•Exfoliate: Exfoliate at least once a week to free your face from dead cells with a facial scrub or try out other natural exfoliating remedy.
•To reduce oil, try the methods in (1) above.
(3) Dirt on the face: Dirt on the face can multiply bacterial activity on the face which will eventually cause pimples. To reduce dirt on your face;
Do not
•Sleep on a dirty pillow. Change pillow covers frequently.
•Use dirty hands on your face.
•Share makeup products such as brushes, especially ones used on the face.
•Sleep with makeup, ever (especially powder or foundation).
•Apply heavy make up on the face frequently. It prevents the skin from respiring.
•Use substandard makeup products on your skin especially foundation.
Do
•Wash your face at least 4 times daily.
•Wipe off your makeup after the day's activity.
•Exfoilate at least once a week.
• Drink plenty of water. It keeps the skin moisturized.
Breaking pimples:
Do not break pimples with your hand. Try out other acne treatment methods instead.
